Wireless utility gives error "Internal configuration is inconsistent. Please restart the machine to resolve the problem"
Hi, I have a Windows 7 user which gets the following error when trying to open Wireless utility, "Internal configuration is inconsistent. Please restart the machine to resolve the problem" Restarting the pc does not help. I enabled the WZC (Wireless Zero Configuration) service and used Windows to configure the wireless instead of the Dell utility. The settings does not get saved as when I reboot the pc, the settings are gone. Please help. Thank you, Nikki.Nilakshi S. Batuwitage

Is not advisable to use both, either use the dell utility or the WZC in windows. Having both would cause conflict. So if you intend to use WZC, just uninstall the dell utility

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums. Please uninstall the software and driver for the hardware. Visit Dell's website and download the latest software and driver for this device. Then reboot to reinstall the driver. As this is third party software issue, it is suggested to involve the manufacture support for more accurate information. Your understanding is appreciated.
